PB Guitar Studio Lesson Policy

Thank you for your interest in music instruction. In order to obtain the best possible results from your course of study, the following lesson agreement contract  must be read and signed by both students and parents. This will assist you with the quickest possible growth and development and insure that the student-teacher relationship is understood properly. The following terms and conditions apply to all private instruction.  This is a LEGALLY BINDING contractual agreement. Please read it carefully.   This contract automatically renews every month.

  1. OUR GENERAL BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP:
When you sign up for music lessons with a  professional music teacher, you are entering into a BUSINESS relationship with them, and you are expected and obligated to follow a certain number of common sense protocols and rules, and the student is expected to follow a few rules regarding how they organize their schedule and organize their lesson homework.   Music Instructors teach lessons  for a living and this is a full-time business for all of us,  not for “fun” or for a “hobby.”   We must earn our living and pay our bills with only the money we receive from our students, so we absolutely have to reliably count on it and depend on it, just as you count on and depend upon your personal paycheck,  once a student commits themselves to taking  lessons.

  2. LESSON  RATES:

    ONLINE LESSONS:

NOTE: All payments for both online and in person are NON REFUNDABLE, and there are no refunds for any reason, stated or implied.

     IN PERSON LESSONS:

  1. WHEN PAYMENT IS DUE:
Payment is due at the beginning (up front) and then due on the last lesson (4th or 5th lesson),  to reserve your  lesson  time for the next month.  All lesson payments must be paid in advance before we can start with lesson instruction.

TUITION IS BASED ON A MONTHLY RATE, NOT HOW MANY LESSONS A STUDENT ATTENDS.  Its a monthly rate - not per lesson.  NO PARTIAL PAYMENTS.

  2. CANCELLATION POLICY:
7 DAYS NOTICE REQUIRED - NO SAME-DAY CANCELLATIONS except for ILLNESS or MEDICAL EMERGENCY.    Prior arrangements must be made for missing any lessons due to family vacation plans.  There are no credits issued for cancelled lessons due to student or parent job and/or school demands,  last minute school functions, last minute job related issues,   or having to take someone to the airport, or forgetting to arrange transportation, or  a multitude of non-actual emergencies.

  3. CANCELLATION POLICY for ONLINE LESSONS:
Online lessons are performed at the individual student's own pace by subscribing to downloading pre-recorded lesson videos, so there is no cancellation.  If a student wishes to cancel or quit a monthly subscription,  one can do so at any time through their own Paypal account using their own Paypal recurring billing function.   However once a monthly payment is already applied, the lessons videos are made available to the student and they can watch them online without downloading them, or download and save them to their own computer.  There are no refunds as they are all digital downloads and available online. The video lessons are sent out automatically and there are no refunds or "product returns"  of the lessons as they are digital downloads and can be watched online or individually downloaded.  If a student cancels their subscription through their Paypal account,  they will no longer be billed again and will not receive any more video lessons.

  4. Cancellation for ZOOM/Skype online lessons:  Once the lesson time is booked,  if you cancel a Zoom/Skype online lesson you simply lose the lesson,  with no rescheduling and no refund.  All Zoom/Skype lessons are prepaid with no rescheduling and no refund.

  5. MY VOICE MAIL (909) 445-9000:
To contact me or leave a message for me personally,  please contact me directly at my own voice mail  (909) 445-9000.   Please note: Store employees are not responsible for taking any phone messages for teachers! Please call my 24hr voice mail at (909) 445-9000 or text at (909) 518-0367.

  6. QUITTING LESSONS/Leaves of Absence:
2  WEEKS NOTICE  (14 CALENDAR DAYS) required !!
before quitting any lessons or for taking any leave of absence.   Once you sign up for lessons you are entering into a BUSINESS relationship with the instructor,  and are expected and obligated to follow a common-sense, courteous and responsible course of action. It is not  acceptable to quit lessons by just not showing up!  - you will be charged for the entire month PLUS late fees and collection costs.  Students who abandon the lessons by not showing up on a pay week will automatically be charged for the entire month in full, plus a $15 per  week late fee, plus all collection costs, including all costs of mailing notices, court costs,  and legal expenses.
